Where has the last year gone and what a journey we've been on since our first post on November 9th 2019! Was it the year we'd planned - most definitely not but sometimes you've just got to go with the flow, think on your feet, think outside the box and most importantly stay positive.
Like everyone, we're devastated to be back in lockdown 2.0 and have the majority of our business grind to a halt once again but we're going to utilise this time to it's full and make our Christmas 2020 products even bigger and better than last year. We are constantly updating our website Christmas page with product details and we hope that we will be able to be back at our stall in Padstow Food Fair in the final lead up to Christmas, so do pop in and take a look!
Regardless of lockdown, November brings a quieter time to Cornwall when those who live here can venture out with the feeling of freedom and we are all so lucky to live where we do and be able to enjoy the autumn season; whether it's a brisk walk on the beach or a more enchanted walk in the woods, Cornwall never fails to deliver that feeling of contentment.
Since re-opening after the first lockdown my biggest seller on my stall in Padstow has been my cakes and although I love creating my decadent desserts sometimes you just can't beat a classic bake such as Lemon Drizzle, Vanilla & Strawberry Swiss Roll, Coffee & Walnut, Chocolate & Pistachio or a Dorset Apple Cake and at this time of year especially, can there be anything better than an autumnal walk and then home to your favourite cuppa and slice of cake and I've often wondered if my cakes have been bought for just this purpose?
Looking forward to the year ahead, our first hope is that we can have a full season of trading and improve on all we've learnt from the past year offering the right things at the right time and secondly we can't wait to meet more of you and fulfill your orders and keep being creative.
So here's to many more years as Fine Fodder and we look forward to seeing you all on the other side.
Sue
