It's been just over a year since I left my full time employment of over thirty years and ventured into a new world alone. To say it's been an interesting year would be an understatement; everyone across the world has had to adapt to a new way of living and doing things each day and as a business we are constantly looking for ways to modify how we work in this new world.
I started out with what I thought was a clear vision of the direction I wanted to go, some of which I am fulfilling successfully on a daily basis but it's strange how the market leads you and not I lead the market and this is ever present in the great addition to the business which has been our afternoon tea hampers. What started out as a simple customer enquiry has now developed and grown into an extremely exciting part of Fine Fodder and we are constantly keeping our finger on the pulse to ensure that these continue to be a success and keep the customer demand growing.
Another huge part of Fine Fodder is our stall at the Padstow Food Fair; it has been great to showcase my products in the local town, talk with customers about the items I bake and constantly look for ways to keep my stall interesting with plenty of new cakes; again which is the direction the market has led me in and is certainly the calling at the moment!
A huge thank you must go out to everyone who has supported me so far on this journey, some of which are people I have known a long time but many are new people and have become very loyal customers returning time and time again when they have a special occasion coming up and they need a gift or some sweet treats to enjoy the day.
There's lots of exciting things to come from Fine Fodder especially in the lead up to Christmas, so do keep an eye out on social media and our website for further details.
Keep the cake tin full!!
