What Will You Do With That Extra Slice?

Well the Fine Fodder kitchen is well and truly into the Christmas spirit and as I'm sure you've seen from all our social media posts we have been baking, taste testing, tweaking, baking and testing again to bring our lovely customers some truly scrumptious festive treats this Christmas!

We are delighted that we can share these with you not only online but it looks like we will be back in Padstow in December and although there may be no festivals this year the Padstow Food Fair are going to have their own "Mini Christmas Market" every day right up to Christmas so you can still get your fix of local shopping along with the all important gin tasters just to get you into the spirit! Our table will of course be brimming with our all important favourites of cakes, brownies and biscuits and in the days leading up to Christmas we will have a range of products available on the stall which will make a great addition to your Christmas table or as a gift for a loved one or maybe even just a treat for yourself? Throughout December we will have our boards on display advertising all that's on offer and you can also arrange to collect orders from the stall by prior arrangement.

So you've bought all this food but the big question at Christmas is will we actually eat all that food that is stuffed into every available cupboard in the house?! I'm sure we are all the same when we see something we like or it's on offer, we pick it up and purchase it not being able to resist but do we often find there's a slice of cake going spare that we could really do without eating ourselves?! How about this year more than ever before, in a year when kindness has been at the forefront of all we've done over the past few months, you give that extra slice to someone you know who is alone this Christmas? Rid the guilt of those sweet treat purchases or perhaps even get a bigger cake with someone in mind who might really enjoy that extra slice?! We also make mini cakes which are perfect for those alone or for an older couple with smaller appetites, these can come gift wrapped making the perfect little foodie gift to really bring that festive cheer in our local community.

Christmas is now but a mere month away and Advent preparations will be well and truly under way for us all especially once the shops open back up but in amongst all the madness and stress that Christmas can bring, take a moment to consider someone you could give that extra slice to?
